If your Linux hosting package includes more than one domain name (website), then you can easily add domains to the server. Before you start adding a new domain that will use a second-level domain name, like example.com, be sure to register this domain name. You can register the new domain.
To host a new website with an addon domain name in DirectAdmin:
- Login to DirectAdmin using current username and password.
- Once you are logged into your DirectAdmin account, select “ Domain Setup” under the “Account Manager” section.
- Next, you will need to click on “ADD NEW” for Add new addon Domain:
- Next, you will need to fill out the details of the addon domain:
- Bandwidth :- It is an option to set the data transfer Bandwidth limits on your domain.
- Disk Usage :- It is an option where you can set a limit on the domain’s disk storage . ( Note: You can tick on Same as Main account to automatically set the Bandwidth and Disk Usage same as main domain account )
- Options :- Here, you can choose to grant your new domain secure SSL, CGI Access and/or PHP Access. Just tick the box beside the option you want to assign to your new domain and click on CREATE button.
Note: Changes to your domain nameservers can take up to 48 hours to propagate.
