What is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your WebSupporters client account.
Instead of logging in with only your password, you’ll also need a code generated on your mobile device.
Even if someone steals your password, they can’t access your account without that code — keeping your hosting services and data safe.
Why We Enabled 2FA for All Clients
Cyberattacks and phishing attempts are becoming more common. To protect your domains, hosting accounts, and billing details, we’ve made 2FA mandatory for all clients.
This ensures only you can access your account — even if your password is compromised.
How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
Go to Hello, [Your Name] → Security Settings or visit:
https://www.websupporters.com/members/clientarea.php?action=securityUnder Two-Factor Authentication, click Activate.
A QR code will appear on your screen.
Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator) on your phone.
- WebSupporters Highly recommended Google Authenticator (Android/iOS) APP
Tap the + icon in your app and scan the QR code.
The app will show a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds.
Enter that code in the Members area setup box and click Verify Code.
2FA setup is complete!
How It Works When You Log In
Enter your email and password as usual.
You’ll be asked to enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
Open the app, find your code, and enter it in Members area.
You’ll be logged in securely.
Lost Your Phone or Can’t Access the App?
If you can’t access your authenticator app:
Contact our support team immediately.
We’ll verify your identity and temporarily disable 2FA so you can log in again.
Tip: During setup, WebSupporters may provide backup codes — save them in a secure place in case your phone is lost or reset.
