DirectAdmin has the ability to create additional FTP ( File Transfer Protocol )<\/strong> accounts within your user-level account. This may be required if you ever need to supply additional access to a developer or member of your staff, but don’t want to provide your direct access over SSH or to the DirectAdmin panel.<\/p>\n

To create an FTP account\u00a0 in DirectAdmin:<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Login to DirectAdmin<\/a> using your current username and password.<\/li>\n
  2. Once logged into DirectAdmin, click on the \u201cFTP\u00a0Management<\/strong>\u201d located in the \u201cAccount Manager\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0section of DirectAdmin.

  3. Then Click on \u201cCreate FTP Account\u201d<\/strong>.
    \n    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. on\u00a0 the next page\u00a0 \u201cCreate FTP Account\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 by filling in the fields,<\/li>\n
  5. There are 4 options to select from:
    \nDomain: – <\/strong>FTP account with the root directory in the domains home directory (one up from the public_html )
    \nFTP:-\u00a0 <\/strong>FTP account with the root directory in the domains public_ftp directory.
    \nUser: – <\/strong>FTP account with the root directory as the user name in the public_html directory.
    \nCustom: –<\/strong> Please provide a custom directory in the field below.<\/li>\n
  6. Then click the “CREATE” <\/strong>button. Be sure to use a very strong password.
